Our Junior Board

The backbone of this major community initiative is a Junior Board of students from local high schools. Along with the Center staff, they help to recruit and train the packaging volunteers who will create meal packages which will immediately help fight starvation and disease.

The 2012 Junior Board will be formed in Spring 2012. The application can be found here. The duties of the Junior Board include:

• Taking on leadership roles throughout our October 12-13, 2012 packaging day
• Publicizing World Food Day in their own schools and other local schools, churches, synagogues – you name it! – to raise awareness
• Lots of other efforts from stuffing envelopes to making phone calls.
• Participate in outreach events such as Bioscience Day at the Ballpark.
